Research Question

How do users choose their note-taking tool to remember more?

Participates

133 participants (Three studies in sum)
Users have the habit of taking notes on a paper and users have the habit of taking notes on a laptop.

Experiment Design

2 (note-taking medium) x 2 (note-taking habit)
Two factors mixed design.

Data Analysis

Performing an ANOVA analysis to compare the main effect and the interaction on note-taking medium and note-taking habit.

Result and Finding

The findings showed that people would remember more and learn better using their habitual note-taking medium when the lecture time is long or the information to remember is a lot.
